This evening will be dry, but as the hours move closer to midnight look for rain to start overspreading the area from southwest to northeast. Overnight lows will fall into the low and mid 30s, so it's not out of the question that some sleet mixes in at the onset. While some sleet may mix in at the onset of this event (mainly north of the Lehigh Valley) it won't last long and the should quickly change over to rain.
The rain will continue through Saturday morning and into the afternoon before tapering to showers as we head into the evening hours. At that point through Sunday there may be a few lingering showers, but the bulk of the rain will be over. Most locations will pick up between a half an inch and an inch of rain from this event. Since the ground is already saturated and streams and creeks are running high, we'll need to keep an eye on flooding. Ponding on area roadways and flooding in poor drainage areas may also be a problem. Otherwise look for highs to be in the upper 40s and low 50s on Saturday.
Lingering showers may hang around into Sunday, but most of the day will be dry. There will also be a good deal of cloud cover around as highs top out in the mid and upper 40s. Winds will also be gusting out of the northwest on Sunday, which will definitely make it feel colder outside.
