PennDOT is looking to build a more modern maintenance yard in Bucks County.
Approval was granted to move from the Doylestown facility to a new site in Plainfield Township.
The planning phase is underway for the new site.
PennDOT employees said they hope to move to the new facility in the Spring of 2017.
The Upper Bucks Regional Police Department has expressed interest in taking over PennDOT's Doylestown facility if it becomes available.
