Two firefighters are reported in stable condition after their ladder came into contact with a high-voltage line in north Philadelphia.

The Philadelphia firefighters were called to the 2400 block of West Norris Street at about 9:30 a.m. Monday for a minor blaze that they placed under control in less than 10 minutes, according to Executive Chief Clifford Gilliam.

Gilliam said two members of the crew were taking down an aluminum ladder when it came into contact with the 7,600-volt power line.

Both firefighters were taken to Temple University Hospital, where they were reported in stable condition with injuries that weren't life-threatening.

Gilliam said both victims were described as conscious and alert. Other information about the firefighters or the blaze wasn't immediately available.
