Fire in Carbon County leaves one person dead

A fire at a one-story home in Weatherly, Carbon County has left one person dead.

The fire broke out around 10:30 p.m. Saturday in the 200 block of Entwistle Street.

Reports indicated a heavy dwelling fire with possible entrapment.

According to Weatherly Police, there is extensive damage to the home.

The Carbon County coroner confirmed Sunday that there was one fatality in the fire.

Police say the fire marshal is on scene and that the incident is still under investigation.

There is no other comment from police or the coroner's office at this time.

No other injuries or fatalities have been reported. The cause of the fire remains unknown.
