Music lovers and jazz fans have something to look forward to this spring.
Performing Arts Live announced their plans for the 2015 Allentown Jazz Fest today.
Developers of this first-time event are hoping it turns into a national staple.
"We'd like to build it into one of the bigger festivals in the country. There's no reason why with the infrastructure in Allentown that we can't be a Newport, Rhode Island or a New Orleans even," said Bryan Tuk, Executive Director of Performing Arts Live.
Tickets for the event are expected to go on sale next week.
The Jazz fest begins May 1st, with a live performance from one of the members of the Late Night with David Letterman band.
The weekend-long event will be based in Symphony Hall.
