State Police investigate an armed robbery in Monroe County

Pennsylvania State Police are investigating an armed robbery that happened in Monroe County Saturday morning.

Police say it happened just after 4:30 a.m. at the Turkey Hill in the 200 block of Gilbert Road in Gilbert.

A 19-year-old employee was hit in the back of the head with a gun by one of the men involved.

Police say another man was outside the store during the robbery.

A witness says the duo fled in a red Jeep.

Police have made no arrests and an investigation is ongoing.
