Gunfire in Reading sends victim to hospital

Reading police are investigating a shooting that sent one person to the hospital overnight.

The gunfire erupted around 1:15 a.m. Tuesday at an apartment in the area of Moss and Oley streets, police said.

Officers on the scene could provide no further information about the shooting or the extent of the victim's injuries.

Moss Street remains closed as a crime scene while investigators go in and out of the apartment to collect evidence.
