Authorities are investigating an accident in Lehigh County that has left an elderly man dead.
The incident happened at the intersection of Best Station Road and Spur Road in Washington Township a little after 3pm, according to police.
Authorities say 80-year-old Charles Eaches, of Slatington, died of multiple traumatic injuries sustained in the crash. He was not wearing a seat belt.
Police say Eaches was driving his car, failed to stop at stop sign, and hit a rock embankment and another vehicle at the intersection.
John Reitz, who lives nearby, says the crash site is a dangerous spot.
"There is a blind curve," said Reitz. "There have been other accidents here."
Robby Micklus, of Macungie, was behind the wheel of the other car. He was wearing a seat belt.
Micklus was transported to Lehigh Valley Hospital. His condition is unknown at this time.
