A 17-year-old girl was killed after the vehicle she was driving overturned in Lehigh County, the coroner said.
Rescue crews were dispatched around 2:45 p.m. Tuesday to the scene of an accident at Mountain and Deer roads in Washington Township.
The coroner said Crystal Schaller of the 7700 block of Furnace Road in Slatington was pronounced dead at the scene.
The coroner said she died from multiple traumatic injuries after her vehicle struck a utility pole and rolled over. The death has been ruled an accident.
The crash is being investigated by the Lehigh County coroner's office and Pennsylvania State Police.
Schaller was a junior at Northern Lehigh High School.
Principal Robert Vlasaty said grief counselors are at the school Wednesday and students are making memorial posters that will hang in the school and on Schaffer's locker.
