Students at Lehigh University are gearing up for the 150th Rivalry game against Lafayette College Saturday. And to celebrate they're racing beds in the center of campus as a part of their "Spirit Week" celebration.
"This is really the epitome of my time at Lehigh, of a lot of peoples' time at Lehigh," Lehigh University President of the Association of Student Alumni, Shannon Varcoe said. "It is the Lehigh-Lafayette 150th, Sprit Week, bed races, it is just a really exciting time."
Hundreds of students, about 30 teams and some of the craziest costumes you've ever seen were all part of the festivities.
The event was organized by the students and celebrated by the students in anticipation of one of the biggest games in the history of the school.
"It is just a great last big campus event before we head to New York City," Varcoe said.
This Saturday, Lehigh and Lafayette football teams with oppose each other for the 150th time. With Yankee Stadium playing host to game, anticipation at Lehigh is through the roof.
