Two people were injured in a crash that took out a traffic light and a fire hydrant in northwest Reading.

The accident, involving two vehicles, happened around 8:40 a.m. Thursday at North Front and Windsor streets.

Two people were taken to the hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries, police said.

Crews were summoned to the scene to clear the mess and repair the damaged traffic light pole and hydrant.
