Appeal filed in deadly crash ruling

The Lehigh County District Attorney is appealing a judge's decision to dismiss the most severe charges filed after a deadly crash.

Oliver Savage was accused of vehicular homicide and careless driving following the February crash on Route 222 in Upper Macungie Township.

77-year-old James Knappenberger was killed.

That judge previously said the prosecution failed to prove there was recklessness involved in the accident.

69 News learned Tuesday that an appeal over that dismissal has been filed to the State Superior Court
