After near record cold, temperatures rebound this weekend

Today: Some sunshine giving way to clouds, not as cold in the afternoon. (a PM flurry to the north) High: 36

Tonight: Partly cloudy. (a couple of flurries, esp. in Poconos) Low: 25

Sunday: Times of clouds and sunshine, moderating temperatures. (an early flurry to the north) High: 42 Low: 23

Another record or near record cold setting morning across the area. Watch out for any icy spots, refreezing last night from melting snow and ice from yesterday. The day will start off with plenty of sunshine with increasing clouds by the afternoon as a disturbance approaches and will move to the north. We will allow for a flurry in a few locations, especially our northern counties. High temperatures will top out in the mid 30s.

A moderating trend in temperatures is starting…30s today, 40s on Sunday and 50s by Wednesday. We will have to watch Tuesday as a storm system approaches the area and potentially gives us some rain.

Enjoy the moderating trend over the next couple of days as temperatures go back to normal because March, so far, has been just about 10 degree below normal!
