***Winter Storm Warning for our viewing area from noon through Sunday 6 AM***

***Winter Storm Advisory for areas south from noon through Sunday 1 AM***

A record low temperature this morning in Allentown, which was previously set back in 1936 (0 degrees). By the afternoon, high temperatures will approach the upper 20s with less wind. This afternoon into tonight the next storm system will move into our area. We expect snow to overspread our area late morning/early afternoon (from west to east 11AM-2PM). Some of the snow could be heavy at times, mainly afternoon (about 4PM). There is a chance that we could mix with sleet and freezing rain this evening (starting at 8PM) before tapering off early Sunday morning (ending by 5AM). As a result, we can expect slippery travel, so please use extra caution.

With that said, we are expecting snow/ice accumulations of 3-6" for the majority of our viewing area with lesser amounts in the greater Philadelphia area (where a mix to ice and possibly rain occurs quicker). Please stay with us for the very latest through the storm as we receive more details.

Sunday, more sunshine is expected to break through during the afternoon as highs top out near 40 degrees! But this relatively mild air doesn't last long….back down into the teens as daytime highs on Monday and challenging record lows on Tuesday morning.
