Fire damages abandoned Berks home

Fire broke out at an abandoned home in Berks County Sunday afternoon.

It happened in the 1500 block of Kutztown Road in Maxatawny Township around 3 p.m.

Several fire companies were called to battle the fire.

Crews at the scene said the house is abandoned.

No injuries were reported, and there's no word on a cause.
