Two men who were found inside a house where a fugitive was shot and killed by state police have been arrested.
Alexander Morges-Castro and Miguel Angel Castillo are two of five people who were found inside 414 Rehr St. in Reading when state police troopers converged on the home on Feb. 13 in search of two people who were wanted by authorities in Arizona.
One of the wanted individuals, Richard Carlin, was shot and killed by a trooper when he failed to comply with demands.
Carlin was being sought in connection with an exchange of gunfire with police in Arizona in 2013.
Carlin's paramour, Sherry Lynn Gryszkin, was arrested inside the home on a felony charge of trafficking in stolen property.
In court documents released Thursday, police outlined the evidence they found inside the home, including a sawed-off shotgun, a 9mm pistol, bulk quantities of ammunition, bulk and packaged heroin, bulk marijuana and a variety of drug paraphernalia.
Morges-Castro, 25, and Castillo, 38, were charged with persons not to possess, use, manufacture, control, sell or transfer firearms; possession of heroin and synthetic marijuana; possession with intent to deliver heroin and synthetic marijuana; possession of drug paraphernalia; and criminal conspiracy.
Morges-Castro was committed to the Berks County Jail on Thursday. His bail was set at $100,000.
Castillo is behind bars in the Potter County Prison on unrelated charges. Arrangements are being made for his return to Berks County.
