Title games in both Districts 11 and 3 featured local teams...each vying to bring home the gold and build a full head of steam into states.Leading off with the District 11, aaa girls final at Freedom...Becahi and Central Catholic...1 vs 2, respectively...- 1st half, Becahi gets it over to Nia Mims, she hits the long jumper, for two of her five points this afternoon -Central answers, Olivia Roseman feeds Alyssa Mack on the wing, she knocks down the three, part of her team high 11 points -Then later, Roseman inside to Kali Buckenmyer, back out to Roseman, she hits the jumper, part of her 5 points, but the Vikettes down 26-19 at the break -2nd half, Beca's Maggie Melhem to Jordynn Jones, she takes it to the hole for the layup, part of her game high 15 pointsKalista Walters a non-facor in this one, scoring just four points ...Golden Hawks win, 44-31, to claim their 3rd straight District title...>>>>>> Elsewhere in District 11, the Allen boys punched their ticket to the state tournament with a 65-50 win over Nazareth today in the aaaa consolation game. Canaries, off to the dance.>>> At the Giant Center, the 7th-seeded Conrad Weiser girls looked to complete their run with a District 3 title...standing in their way, 4th-seed Greencastle -Antrim...- 2nd quarter..Greencastle feeds Jane Herman on the far side for three...Blue Devils lethal from beyond the arc in building a 32-17 halftime lead...- 3rd quarter....Here come the Scouts..Hannah Racis drives, spins and gets the bucket and the foul...Weiser within 12 after the free throw...- Greencastle with the answer... Jenay Faulkner gets the steal and takes it the distance for the bucket to extend the lead to 14...but the Scouts trim it to 7 after the 3rd...- Weiser kept at it in the 4th... Anouk Ooms drives the lane for two...Scouts within 5...But the Blue Devils would seal it at the free throw line down the stretch... and the Scouts' comeback bid falls short....57-52
