Santa visits Animal Rescue League

Santa took time to visit with pets this weekend during a stop at the Animal Rescue League of Berks County.



Santa's visit was held during the league's annual holiday open house and Adopt-a-thon Saturday and Sunday at the shelter located at 58 Kennel Road in Birdsboro.


The pet photos with Santa raised money for the shelter, which accepts more than 8,000 animals a year.


The league also gave away pet toys and treats to everyone who adopted a pet.


The ARL is the largest open admission shelter in Berks County.
