Penn State tops BC in overtime for Pinstripe Bowl win

The Penn State football team went bowling for the first time in since 2011 on Saturday. The Nittany Lions met Boston College in the Pinstripe Bowl at Yankee Stadium. WFMZ's Dave Lesko was in the Bronx and has more on the game.

Sam Ficken kicked the game-winning extra point in overtime to give Penn State the 31-30 win. Boston College had scored on their first possession, but they missed the extra point.


James Franklin finish 7-6 in his first season as Penn State's head coach.


Christian Hackenberg was 34 of 50 for 371 yards and 4 touchdowns.
