Dan Keen, warden of the Franklin County Jail, has been hired as Northampton County's new director of corrections.
Keen will begin in January, at an annual salary of $100,237.
His appointment was approved in a 5-3 vote by Northampton County Council Thursday night.
Keen has been warden of the county jail in Chambersburg for nearly four years.
He previously was director of county prison inspections and evaluations for the state Department of Corrections and is a former warden of the Bedford County Correctional Facility.
Northampton County's current corrections director is Arnold Matos, who held that position since 2012.
