This week WFMZ is looking back at some of the 69 News reporters' most memorable stories of 2014.

Meghan Packer caught up with Katheryn Deprill, the South Whitehall Township woman who became known as the "Burger King Baby," and Deprill's birth mother, Cathy Pochek.

The two were reunited in March after Deprill posted a picture on Facebook earlier that month looking for the woman who gave birth to her.

"It's been a beautiful, wonderful nine months and we're very excited, we're having a great time," said Pochek, who also lives in the Lehigh Valley.

Deprill said, "Overwhelming with just joy, we are so excited, it's been a lot of love and somewhat of an emotional rollercoaster."

Deprill was found as a newborn in the bathroom of an Allentown Burger King on September 15, 1986. She was raised by a family that adopted her.

Deprill's Facebook post about the search for her birth mother went viral.

"My husband and I had actually talked about finding her," said Pochek.

Deprill's Facebook post made that easy to do.

She said, "My husband saw it on 69 News and called me at work and that's when obviously we contacted our attorney."

The attorney coordinated the reunion in March and the two women and their families have been spending time together ever since.

"We're trying to get to know each other and be involved in as many things as possible. Her family has been unbelievable and accepting and warm," said Pochek, who was 17 when she gave birth to Deprill.

"I was a scared teenager and back then you just didn't know," she said. "I kissed her on the forehead and there really wasn't a day that went past that I didn't think about her."

Deprill, who is married with three children, said, "I really don't know what my expectations were but I certainly didn't expect all the love that we got and all the love for my children."

Their story has been shared all over the world.

The women said they're not only told they look alike, but they have other similarities.

"Look alike, talk alike, act alike, same sayings, we complete each other's sentences all the time," said Pochek.

They have the same first and middle names and Deprill was named by her adoptive family.

"We drive the exact same car, year, make, model, color, there are so many similarities, I mean I have goosebumps again," Pochek described.

Pochek also babysat Deprill's husband when he was a child.

There's a lot the family has to look forward to as they continue to get to know each other and grow.

"We have a baby boy on the way. He's due June 5," Deprill told 69 News.

Pochek said, "Every single morning I wake up and I'm so happy and so blessed to be a part of it and having her let me share this with them."
