Decomposing body found in Berks; DA, coroner investigating

The discovery of a decomposing body in Berks County has drawn the response of the Berks County district attorney and coroner's offices.

The body was found Tuesday in a field near a home off Monocacy Creek Road in Amity Township.

The coroner and the district attorney told 69 News that each of their offices has representatives on the scene to assist with the investigation. Neither official could immediately provide further information about the case.
