After a month-long investigation, police have arrested a Bethlehem man on several drug charges.
Police arrested 23-year-old Jonathan Lasalle, of the 600 block of Ridge Street, on Friday.
According to Police Chief Mark DiLuzio, Lasalle is accused of dealing heroin in and around the area of the Bethlehem Housing Authority Lynnfield Development.
DiLuzio said surveillance was set up on Lasalle in early Friday morning.
Officers arrested Lasalle around 11:30 a.m. Friday in the 1200 block of Daly Avenue after a traffic stop. They found 40 bags of heroin and $320 in his possession.
A search warrant served at 604 Ridge Street revealed packaging materials and other items.
During a search of Lasalle's mother's home in the 1700 block of Lynnfield Drive, detectives located approximately seven grams of loose heroin, with a street value of $3,000, in addition to packaging materials and $14,000 in cash.
Lasalle was charged with two counts ofpossession with the intent to deliver heroin, possession of drug paraphernalia and criminal use of a communication device.
He was sent to Northampton County Prison after being unable to post $5,000 bail.
