2 separate shootings in Montgomery County; 1 killed, 1 injured

Police in Montgomery County are investigating two separate shootings, and one person was killed.

The shootings do not appear to be related, officials said.

The first was reported in Lansdale near 5th and Pierce streets around 4:30 a.m.

Officials say a SWAT team has been called in and a perimeter has been set up but police are still searching for a shooter.

One victim was reportedly taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The second shooting happened about 5 a.m. in Lower Salford Township at the Pheasasnt Run Apartments at 150 Main Street.

Officials say one victim is dead in that incident, and the shooter is still at large.
