It may have been a snow day for a lot of students, but that didn't stop Pennsylvania Gov. Tom Wolf from talking about education in Allentown.
He stopped by Muhlenberg Elementary School on Friday as part of his "Schools That Teach Tour."
Wolf said education is a serious investment with a shared benefit.
"If we want a strong economy, we need to have a good education system, because we need the education system to provide kids and adults with the skills they need to take the jobs we need them to take to have a strong economy," Wolf said.
While in Allentown, Wolf also promoted his plan for property tax reform. He's proposing a plan that raises more than $4 billion in new taxes, but also aims to reduce local school property taxes by more than $3 billion.
