The Social Still was concocted by the same family that owns the Franklin Hill vineyard in Lower Mount Bethel Township. But... during a different time, decades ago... it was another family's dreams that were taking shape on East Third Street.>> frank whelan: The gentleman who came from the Gosztonyi family to Pennsylvania was John Gosztonyi, and he was from the country of Austria- Hungary.>> reporter: That was in 1884. He first settled in Luzerne County.. but then moved to Chester County... where he met his future wife and mother of his five children, Rozi . The family eventually moved to Bethlehem.>> frank whelan: By the 1890s, 1892 Mr Gosztonyi was running a saloon and also a market. He was doing very well. He was very Depression intervened.>> frank whelan: At that point, Bethlehem Steel was only operating three days a week. As a result, the bank, the savings and loan began to suffer for that.>> reporter: In 1939... it became a branch of the People's Bank. Now an effort is underway to have the building put on the National Register of Historic Places. No doubt the Gosztonyi family would raise a glass to that.
