Big third period lifts Royals past Nailers

The Reading Royals outscored the Wheeling Nailers 3-1 in the final period Wednesday night en route to a 5-2 win at Santander Arena.


Reading received goals from five different players including Cam Reid, Olivier Labelle, Jordan Heywood, Ryan Cruthers and Adam Hughesman.


Reid leads the team with 12 goals and has been a big reason why the Royals have won 11 of its last 13 games.


Reading visits Wheeling Friday night before welcoming ECHL-newcomer Brampton to town on Saturday and Sunday.
