Forty-one-year-old Amanda Duffy of East Allen Township has been charged with aggravated assault after stabbing her husband with a steak knife and striking him in the head with an unidentified "solid object."
The crime occurred around 8:15 a.m. Thursday inside the couple's home in the 8000 block of Beatrice Lane in the Northampton County township, report state police in Bethlehem who responded to the domestic dispute.
Kevin Duffy, the 54-year-old injured spouse, was transported by ambulance to St. Luke's Hospital in Bethlehem, where he was treated for several, non-life-threatening stab wounds in his upper arm and shoulder.
Amanda Duffy was taken into custody and charged with aggravated assault, simple assault and harassment. After being arraigned, with unsecured bail set at $10,000, she was released.
