The Berks County Commissioners have passed a budget that holds the line on taxes in 2015.
The budget includes about $455 million in expenditures, which is about the same as last year.
Commissioners said the merger of BARTA and the Red Rose Transit Authority in Lancaster County resulted in a savings of about $700,000.
Although the real estate tax rate will remain at 7.372 mills in 2015, officials said there could be a tax hike in 2016.
