Mohnton man charged with sharing child pornography

The Pennsylvania attorney general's office has charged a man from Mohnton with possessing and sharing child pornography.


Troy Peiffer was sharing child pornography on peer to peer networks, said authorities, who added that he had at least 150 images and 15 videos of child porn on his computer.


"We are using sophisticated technology to keep up with the constantly evolving methods child predators are using to exploit children," Attorney General Kathleen Kane said. "Predators may think that they are anonymous online, but we are watching."


Peiffer, 26, was committed to the Berks County Jail on $50,000 bail. He's due in court for a preliminary hearing on Dec. 22.
