An 8-year-old in Fleetwood is taking Hollywood by storm.
Not only does Rodeo' Marie Hanson write published films reviews, but she's walked the red carpet with Hollywood royalty.
It's all about "knowing the right people," the third grader told 69 News, who's taken photographs with Meryl Streep, Steven Spielberg and other Hollywood A-listers.
Most recently, she attended the New York City premiere of "Into the Woods." Her uncle, who works for a production company, is her connection.
"I met Rob Marshall, who's the director of the movie. He asked me what my favorite scene was because I review movies," she said.
Since roughly age 5, Hanson has published her movie reviews in the Kutztown Area Patriot.
She uses a rating system of "popcorn boxes."
"I say how many popcorn boxes I would give it and how I like it, and how kids should watch it," she said.
While Disney's "Planes" got three of out four popcorn boxes, she only gave two to the Hunger Games sequel.
"I'm very impressed," her father, Scott Hanson, said. "She comes and she'll critique it very dramatically sometimes. She doesn't always like the movies… she critiques a lot."
As for whether Hanson wants to someday make it big in the movie industry, remains to be seen.
She told 69 News that acting interests her, and she's already appeared in a commercial.
"Her interests are varied," her dad told 69 News, noting he would support "whatever she wants to do."
