Whitehall police say one person was killed in an accident early Wednesday morning.

It happened just after 4:00 a.m. on Route 145 and Chestnut Street in Whitehall township, Lehigh County. Police say the accident involved two vehicles between a dump truck and a pickup truck.

A coroner was called to the scene.

There is no word on what caused the accident and the road will be closed for several hours while police investigate the crash.
