Met-Ed's more than one-million customers could see a big jump in their electric bills.
Monday in East Stroudsburg the Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission held two public hearings on Met-Ed's proposal to increase distribution rates.
If approved by the PUC, average residential customers using one-thousand kilo-watt hours of electric per month would see their bills go up by more than 17 percent or about $21 a month.
