Sign of the season: Easton's Peace Candle goes up

One of the most recognizable signs of the arrival of the holiday season in our region is going up in Easton.

Crews were busy Thursday morning, putting Easton's iconic Peace Candle in place at Centre Square, where Northampton and Third streets meet.

The candle will be lit during a special ceremony on Friday, November 28th from 5-9 p.m.

The evening will feature lots of fun activities for the whole family, including live music and a Santa parade.

New for 2014-- you can buy a Peace Candle Christmas ornament for $20! Proceeds will help fund the annual Peace Candle lighting and open house.

The festivities are hosted by the Easton Main Street Initiative.
