A Warren County, N.J., man is in custody after police say he broke into several vehicles Friday morning.
The Lopatcong Township Police arrested 25-year-old Thomas Kline of the 200 block of Prospect Street, Phillipsburg, around 1:30 a.m.
Police responded to the 300 block of Stelko Avenue in the Rosehill Heights area at that hour for a report of a burglary of a vehicle in progress.
After a police investigation, Kline was charged in connection with burglaries of several unlocked vehicles in the area.
Kline was charged with four counts of burglary and one count of theft of moveable property.
He was taken to Warren County Correctional Facility in lieu of $25,000 bail.
Police reminded residents to keep vehicle doors locked and to remove valuables from vehicles whenever possible.
