Fitness Friday: Anti-Gravity yoga

It's a workout that's defying gravity.

Yoga is being done not on the floor, but up in the air! The Anti-Gravity Yoga Lab at 687 State Avenue in Emmaus is the first of its kind in the area, and it's taking yoga to new heights.

Anti-gravity yoga is a yoga-based workout done in hammocks. The silks are hung from the ceiling and allow you to go deeper into stretches, poses, inversions, and more!

Kristine McCreary, owner of the Yoga Lab, says all you need to be able to do to take the Anti-Gravity classes is 3 sit ups. If you can do that, you can try out the FUNdamentals class and learn the basics.

No yoga background needed. Once you master the basics, you can take different levels of Anti-Gravity yoga.

WFMZ's Melanie Falcon checked it out for Fitness Friday.

The Yoga Lab, located across from the South Mall, also offers different types of yoga including hot yoga.
