Two local school districts are part of a group that's suing the state of Pennsylvania over public school funding.

Carbon County's Panther Valley School District and the Shenandoah Valley School District in Schuylkill County are among six districts named as plaintiffs in the suit, which was filed today in Commonwealth Court.

The lawsuit claims the state's public education funding system is unfair to districts with low property values and incomes.
