Police are sounding the alarm to repeated vandalism in Caernarvon Township.
Four businesses were tagged with graffiti last week, then on Tuesday, a home and vehicle were also vandalized.
Rita's was one of the businesses targeted. The word melo was spray painted in bold letters on all four sides of the store.
"Initially I was shocked. I do not know why it happened or who did it," said Josh Nowotarski, the owner of Rita's.
Rita's owner Josh Nowotarski tells us his business was not only vandalized on the outside, but on the inside as well. The vandals broke in, stole items and trashed the place.
"It is frustrating and you will have that with business, it is not easy. But it is just another hurdle we could have avoided," said Nowotarski.
But Rita's was not the only business targeted. Graffiti was also found on the Napa Auto Parts building, Morgantown Garage and the Post Office.
"Very disrespectful. Morgantown is not a ghetto and it should not be done," said Dalton Butler, a resident.
Police have told business owners they have leads and they suspect it is someone local, but so far no one has been caught.
"Someone just not making good choices," said Judd Eisenhard, a resident.
Now businesses like Rita's are trying to recover. The owner was planning on opening for the season next weekend, but that has since been pushed back until the store can clean up and get new equipment.
"If anyone knows anything please call police because it is an inconvenience. The community does not deserve it, we do not deserve it and we just want to get back to normalcy," said Nowotarski.
Police are asking anyone with information to call them at 610-286-1012.
