Winning Match 6 Lotto ticket worth more than $1.4 million sold in Bern

The purchase of a $2 lottery ticket in Berks County has resulted in an early Christmas present for one lucky player.


A Match 6 Lotto ticket sold at the Top Star Express on Route 183 in Bern Township correctly matched all six winning numbers -- 05-16-37-39-44-48 -- Monday night.


The jackpot-winning ticket is now worth $1,417,087.50, less 25 percent federal withholding, Pennsylvania Lottery officials announced Tuesday.


The holder of the winning ticket has not yet come forward.


The store will receive a $10,000 bonus for selling the winning ticket.
