A Berks County restaurant continues to serve up meals, despite having part of its building damaged by a vehicle that barreled through a wall and into a seating booth.
The crash happened late Friday night at the Temple Family Restaurant on Fifth Street Highway in Muhlenberg Township.
The restaurant was open at the time of the crash.
The owners say a van lost control and plowed through the side of the building and into a seating booth.
Fortunately, no one was in the booth at the time of the crash.
No one was injured.
Restaurant co-owner George Asimakopoulos said, "My first reaction was, 'thank God no one was hurt.' This is a very popular seat to sit in and luckily there wasn't anyone sitting here last night."
The owners expect to have the wall patched up in the next few days, and then immediately begin permanent repairs.
The crash remains under police investigation.
