The Lafayette men's and Lehigh women's basketball teams looked to capture wins in their final non-conference games on Sunday.

In Easton, the Leopards held off NJIT for a 76-71 victory at Kirby Sports Center.

The win completes the first unbeaten home non-conference slate since 2003-04 for the Leopards (8-3) and is just the third time since entering the Patriot League in 1990-91 that Lafayette has gone undefeated at home entering league play.

Senior captain Seth Hinrichs led four Leopards in double-figure scoring with 18 points to go along with eight rebounds and four steals. Classmate Dan Trist dropped in 17 points, while senior Joey Ptasinski and Lindner added 11 and 10 points, respectively.

At Stabler Arena, Duquesne handed Lehigh just its second loss of the year in an 82-75 win over the Mountain Hawks.

Junior Kerry Kinek scored the 1,000th point of her career in a 19-point performance to lead Lehigh offensively. Lehigh wraps up non-league play with an 8-2 record while Duquesne, a team that’s made six-straight WNIT appearances, improves to 8-5.
