A former Kutztown University football player was sentenced Monday for his role in a fight that left two Bloomsburg University students hospitalized.
Angel Cruz of Robesonia pleaded guilty to simple assault and other counts last month.
He was sentenced Monday to spend at 22-36 months in jail in Columbia County.
The brawl broke out back in February when a group of Kutztown football players reportedly crashed a frat party at Bloomsburg University.
One of the victims was from Robeson Township and is now out of the hospital.
The other victim is still seeing doctors and undergoing physical therapy.
