The Conrad Weiser and Berks Catholic girl's basketball teams kept their postseasons alive on Wednesday night with wins in the second round of the PIAA Class AAA tournament.
At Souderton, Conrad Weiser edged District XI champion Bethlehem Catholic, 48-44, to advance to the AAA quarterfinals.
Anouk Ooms led the Scouts with 12 points. Hannah Racis added another 10 for the District III runners-up.
Kalista Walters led the Golden Hawks with 16 points. Tessa Zamolyi scored 12 points.
Beca's season ends at 27-2. Weiser will meet District II champion Honesdale in the quarterfinals.
At Cumberland Valley, Berks Catholic knocked off District III champion Greencastle-Antrim, 53-45, to punch their ticket to the quarterfinals.
Devon Merritt posted a double-double with 18 points and 10 rebounds. Courtney Wensel poured in another 12 as the Saints joined their Berks II rivals in the state's elite eight. They will face West Perry out of District III.
