It's been a busy day for crews all across the region, but the work continued into the night on Thursday.
Crews were out plowing and salting the roads to prevent re-freezing all throughout the region.
Bethlehem Department of Public Works Director, Michael Alkhal, spent the night driving through the city, making sure the city streets were taken care of as quickly as possible.
It's a daunting task to keep a close eye on 250 miles of roads in the city, so Alkhal has a computer to help. Each plow truck transmits up-to-the minute information to the system.
Alkhal said crews are laying down a mixture of salt and cinders. It's in an effort to conserve the salt. The city is running low on its supply.
"We have to make sure we don't run out," said Alkhal.
Alkahl said he is confident there will be enough salt to get through Thursday night, but another storm could leave the city on thin ice.
"We haven't been getting any deliveries and we aren't expecting any in the near future," said Alkahl.
