Berks Catholic eager to face PJP in state opener

Following a loss to Conrad Weiser in the District quarterfinals, the Berks Catholic girls responded with two of their most dominant performances of the season. That earned BC a higher seed in the state tournament and an opening round showdown with Pope John Paul II.

The two will square off Saturday afternoon at Spring-Ford High School. Pope John Paul is the runner up out of District I.



Berks Catholic has been preparing for the aggressive defense of the Golden Panthers this week. The Saints say the key is controlling the pressure, which would allow them to better utilize their size down low.
