Three Lehigh University lacrosse players have been suspended from the team after participating in a snowball battle that led to a more serious fight in which another man was injured.
The players are Alex Eaton, David "Tripp" Telesco and Patrick Corbett.
All three were charged with summary offenses of disorderly conduct, harassment and public drunkenness.
Telesco also was charged with possessing a false ID and underage drinking.
Bethlehem police report that at 7:30 p.m. Jan. 24, the three players were engaged in a snowball fight in the 200 block of East Fifth Street in the city.
One of the snowballs struck a passing car. Police have not determined if it was accidentally or intentionally thrown at the car. The driver stopped, got out and an argument ensued.
That argument escalated to the driver being punched several times. That driver may have received a broken nose and definitely had a few bruises and abrasions, according to police.
The driver was not charged.
Lehigh University public relations director director Jordan Reese confirmed Telesco, Eaton and Corbett were suspended from the lacrosse team and added the university is investigating the incident.
