Royals sweep Florida to push win streak to 11 games

Andrew Johnston scored in the ninth round of the shootout to lift the Reading Royals to their 11th consecutive win, 3-2, over the visiting Florida Everblades on Sunday. The streak ties a franchise record.


The Royals swept all three games from the Everblades over the weekend, capturing first place in the division in the process.


Ryan Cruthers and David Marshall scored the goals for Reading.


Florida's Evan Bloodoff sent the game into overtime with less than one second left in regulation. It was his second goal of the game.


Reading looks to break the franchise record for consecutive wins with 12 on Wednesday night when the team begins a five-game road trip in Cincinnati.
