A man stole $40,000 worth of copper from a business in Berks County, police said.
Dyllan Hatfield took copper wire and copper rings from Regal Beloit, an electric motor manufacturer on Route 61 in Ontelaunee Township, police said.
Hatfield, 23, of Reading, took the copper over several months and sold it for cash at local scrapyards, police said.
Hatfield was charged with theft by unlawful taking, receiving stolen property and conspiracy. He was committed to the Berks County Jail on $50,000 bail.
