Psychiatrist charged with practicing with suspended license

A psychiatrist is facing charges after investigators say he worked and wrote prescriptions while his license was suspended.

Doctor Jopinda Pal Harika is facing charges including Medicaid fraud and theft by deception.

According to investigators, Harika saw over 500 patients and wrote prescriptions for over 400 patients while his license was suspended.

He was practicing in Berks County and Philadelphia.
