A Bethlehem woman is in custody after police said she stabbed a man three times at her home on Tuesday.

Police were called to 711 Mortimer Street for a report of a stabbing around 7 a.m. When they arrived, they found a man, identified as Sabwa Sula, with blood on his back, who fell to the floor from his knees.

Another woman at the home told police that 51-year-old Parris Leuz Hall had stabbed Sula after an argument.

The woman said when she got home, Hall was drunk and began to argue with Sula, and that Hall also pulled out a knife and threatened to kill her, police said.

When Hall made a move toward her with the knife, Sula stepped in front of Hall to try and calm her down, and police said she began to apologize for her behavior.

When Sula began to leave, police said Hall began to grab him, then she pulled a knife a stabbed him in the chest. He made his way into the kitchen, and police said she stabbed him twice in the back.

Sula was taken to St. Luke's Hospital in Fountain Hill for treatment. Police interviewed him at the hospital and told police that Hall stabbed him. Police said Sula said Hall always threatens to stab people, but this time she really did.

Hall was taken to Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest for medical evaluation.

Hall faces charges of aggravated assault, simple assault, harassment and making terroristic threats.

She was taken to the Lehigh County Jail after being unable to post $150,000 bail.

A preliminary hearing has been scheduled for February 10 at 1:45 p.m.

There's no word on Sula's condition.
